Travel Information

The Czech Republic is situated in the Central Europe. The conference EJC 2006 will take place in a small city called Trojanovice, hotel Raztoka. The hotel is situated in a beautiful valley of the Beskydy mountains, in Northern Moravia (the Eastern part of the Czech Republic) cca 30 km far from Ostrava. The nearest city is Frenstat pod Radhostem, and hotel Raztoka has been chosen as a conference venue.

Recommended transport

The easiest way to the conference venue: take a plane to the final destination Ostrava (Ostrava Mosnov Airport). At that case you will fly first to Prague (Ruzyne Airport) where you have to change the plane to Ostrava (Mosnov). Your baggage will be transferred automatically; however, check this information at your local airport. If you come on Monday, our bus service will be available at the Ostrava Mosnov Airport to transport the participants to the hotel Raztoka. If for any reasons our bus service is not used by a participant, then take a taxi (follow the reference below) to Trojanovice (hotel Raztoka) which is about 25 km far from Ostrava Mosnov Airport. The taxi will cost approximately 30 EUR.

From: Prague --> To: Ostrava: by PLAIN

It is convenient to buy an air-ticket to Ostrava (Mosnov Airport). Czech Airlines offer four flights from Prague (Ruzyne Airport) to Ostrava (Mosnov Airport) per day. Please, inform the organisers on your selected flight (write down your arrival place and time in the registration form). We will provide our own bus-service from Ostrava Mosnov Airport to the hotel Raztoka available for the participants on Monday. There is also a possibility to take a public bus, but if you do not use (for any reasons) our bus service, we recommend a taxi.

If you travel to Ostrava by a train get off the train at Ostrava Svinov railway station.It is much closer to the destination Trojanovice than Ostrava Main railway station.
